Cancellations less than 3 business days prior will not receive a refund. Please note members will not be able to swap their registration for events with a non-member.
If you are unable to attend an event after registering, your registration may be donated or transferred to another individual. In alignment with AFP-GPC’s IDEA principles, we will prioritize transferring registration to a fundraiser from an underrepresented or historically marginalized community and/or our Emerging Leaders cohort whenever possible. Please notify [email protected] at least 48 hours before the event; if less notice is given, we will do our best to accommodate the transfer.
AFP-GPC is seeking proposals for our upcoming 2026 Calendar of Educational Sessions. Please complete the online RFP form to submit your proposal. Submissions are evaluated quarterly.

CFRE Foundations: Core Concepts, Tools, and Strategies to pass the CFRE exam
What does it take to successfully pass the CFRE Exam?
What core concepts form the foundation of the six domains tested? Which study strategies and personal attributes best support candidates on their path to earning the CFRE credential?
This seminar addresses these questions by exploring essential fundraising principles, proven exam-preparation strategies, and practical insights designed to help participants approach the CFRE Exam with confidence and clarity.
Full participation in CFRE Foundations: Core Concepts, Tools, and Strategies to pass the CFRE exam is applicable for 1 point in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
Speakers

Jack Alotto, MA, CFRE, Trainer | Consultant, Fundraising Academy at National University
Jack is a graduate of Glassboro State College and the State University of New York at Oswego, both degrees are in Psychology. Throughout his career, Jack has served in a variety of fundraising positions in hospital, social service and the arts as executive director, development director, major gift and legacy giving manager, and foundation and corporate relations manager. Jack is a California CFRE Ambassador. At the Sanford Institute of Philanthropy (SIP) at JFK University, Jack was an instructor at the Fundraising Academy. In 2019, Jack joined as Trainer the Fundraising Academy at National University.

Michelle Maslowski, MBA, CFRE, Consultant
Michelle is a fundraising consultant who specializes in building and enhancing fundraising programs that drive sustainable growth and long-term success for nonprofits. She brings deep expertise in major gifts, planned and annual giving, and in building successful grateful patient and alumni programs—helping organizations cultivate, solicit, and steward high-impact donors to maximize philanthropic support. Michelle previously served as the Associate Vice President, Individual Philanthropy Program for Moffitt Cancer Center, and held key leadership roles in Drexel University’s $455 million campaign and Jefferson Health’s $1 billion campaign. Her experience in managing large-scale fundraising initiatives, donor engagement strategies, and campaign execution positions her as a trusted advisor for organizations seeking to strengthen their philanthropic efforts. Michelle is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and an AFP Certified Facilitator.
