Cancellation Policy
Cancellations less than 3 business days prior will not receive a refund. Please note members will not be able to swap their registration for events with a non-member.
If you are unable to attend an event after registering, your registration may be donated or transferred to another individual. In alignment with AFP-GPC’s IDEA principles, we will prioritize transferring registration to a fundraiser from an underrepresented or historically marginalized community and/or our Emerging Leaders cohort whenever possible. Please notify [email protected] at least 48 hours before the event; if less notice is given, we will do our best to accommodate the transfer.
AFP-GPC is seeking proposals for our upcoming 2026 Calendar of Educational Sessions. Please complete the online RFP form to submit your proposal. Submissions are evaluated quarterly.

Navigating Burnout as a Fundraiser: Align, Energize, Set Boundaries
Join us for an engaging session designed to help fundraisers navigate burnout with clarity and intention. In this reflective 60-minute workshop, we’ll explore practical tools rooted in values alignment, energy awareness, and boundary-setting — core pillars of creating a sustainable career.
Through a series of guided journal prompts and interactive exercises, you’ll gain insight into what’s fueling and draining you, and begin crafting small but powerful shifts to reclaim your time and energy.
Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook or journal for the activities.
Full participation in Navigating Burnout as a Fundraiser: Align, Energize, Set Boundaries is applicable for 1 point in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
Speaker
Colvin Hedgepeth, Aperio Philanthropy
Colvin Hedgepeth is a Director at Aperio Philanthropy, a consulting firm helping nonprofits reimagine their fundraising potential. She’s built a nonprofit career in communications, event planning and fundraising over the past decade. She’s supported grassroots to international organizations, including leading the fundraising efforts for Blue Sky Fund, an outdoor education organization in her hometown of Richmond, VA, to running events for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for American Hiking Society as Vice Chair, Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and member of the Development and Executive Committees. Colvin has personally experienced the “survival mode” that many fundraisers face, which fuels her mission to make fundraising and non-profit work more sustainable.
