Cancellation Policy
Cancellations less than 3 business days prior will not receive a refund. Please note members will not be able to swap their registration for events with a non-member.
If you are unable to attend an event after registering, your registration may be donated or transferred to another individual. In alignment with AFP-GPC’s IDEA principles, we will prioritize transferring registration to a fundraiser from an underrepresented or historically marginalized community and/or our Emerging Leaders cohort whenever possible. Please notify [email protected] at least 48 hours before the event; if less notice is given, we will do our best to accommodate the transfer.
AFP-GPC is seeking proposals for our upcoming 2026 Calendar of Educational Sessions. Please complete the online RFP form to submit your proposal. Submissions are evaluated quarterly.

CFRE Exam Preparation Course
This seven-week virtual study group is designed to help prepare fundraising professionals to be successful in earning their CFRE.
The syllabus is based on the 6 subject areas from the CFRE test content outline, plus a separate summary and Q&A session. The course is designed:
- To prepare participating fundraising professionals for success in earning their CFRE designation. This test preparation course, along with independent study, will help you pass the exam

To increase participating fundraising professionals’ general knowledge base in the core skill areas of our profession.
Attendees will be trained and gain knowledge in the 6 testable domains of the CFRE exam: Current and Prospective Donor Research, Securing the Gift, Relationship Building, Volunteer Involvement, Leadership and Management, Planned Giving, as well as overall test taking strategies for the CFRE exam.
The CFRE Study Group is a seven-week virtual program on Thursday nights from 6:30-7:30p.m. EST. Courses will occur each Thursday, August 1st - September 12th.
*The CFRE is designed for fundraising professionals typically with at least three of the last five or more years of fundraising experience.
Full participation in CFRE Exam Preparation Course is applicable for 7 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
