Cancellation Policy
Cancellations less than 3 business days prior will not receive a refund. Please note members will not be able to swap their registration for events with a non-member.
If you are unable to attend an event after registering, your registration may be donated or transferred to another individual. In alignment with AFP-GPC’s IDEA principles, we will prioritize transferring registration to a fundraiser from an underrepresented or historically marginalized community and/or our Emerging Leaders cohort whenever possible. Please notify [email protected] at least 48 hours before the event; if less notice is given, we will do our best to accommodate the transfer.
AFP-GPC is seeking proposals for our upcoming 2026 Calendar of Educational Sessions. Please complete the online RFP form to submit your proposal. Submissions are evaluated quarterly.

Planned Gifts & Endowments-Cookies & Milk
Planned giving and endowments are essential for a thriving nonprofit. Like cookies and milk,
they are each valued on their own, but even better when combined. Planned giving can be easy
and allow donors to use assets other than cash to make a meaningful gift. Building an
endowment for your nonprofit allows deeply devoted donors as well as current and former
board members and leaders to ensure the long-term viability of a cause about which they care
deeply.
Participants will learn the essentials of planned giving and how to begin accepting planned gifts
of various asset types. You will learn whether your nonprofit is (or is not!) ready to launch an
endowment appeal and budget for a reserve fund. You’ll learn the development fundamentals
on which to build your legacy program and what additional elements you’ll need to secure the
largest gifts most donors will ever make. You’ll learn to identify the planned giving prospects
you already have, smart ways these donors can give and why this is the perfect time to ask!
